The Numbers

Reference cargo-area dimensions for the 14th-gen (2021–) SuperCrew 5.5ft bed. Every gear-fit call on this page is computed from these.

Dimensions are approximate and sourced from measured references — verify against your exact model year and trim before purchasing gear. Payload includes passengers and accessories; check your door-jamb sticker.

What Actually Fits

A realistic overland load against the 14th-gen SuperCrew's 998 kg (2,200 lb) payload budget.

Sample overland build

The F-150 is the easiest bed in this guide to build in. You get about 1285 mm (50.6 in) of flat floor between the arches — wider than any mid-size truck here — and on the 14th gen the arches rise only ~190 mm (7.5 in), the lowest intrusion of any pickup on the site. Combined with 998 kg of payload (and up to 1483 kg on a 2021–23 8ft with the heavy-duty payload package), the limit stops being geometry and becomes what you're willing to carry.
